Individual Therapy.
Individual therapy is a chance to focus on you—your story, your struggles, and your goals for healing. At Redbird Counseling, sessions are a safe and supportive space to process trauma, navigate substance use, and explore healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges.

What to Expect in Sessions
Individual Therapy isn’t about quick fixes or judgment—it’s about collaboration. In your sessions, we’ll work together at your pace. Some days may focus on untangling the roots of trauma, while other days may be about learning to sit with emotions without turning to numbing or avoidance.
You can expect to:
- Identify and understand the patterns keeping you stuck
- Build coping tools that feel practical and sustainable
- Process painful experiences safely and with support
- Reconnect with your values, relationships, and sense of self
You might benefit from individual therapy if you:
- Feel stuck in survival mode and want to feel more present in daily life
- Use substances like alcohol or cannabis to numb or cope, but want new options
- Have lived through trauma (including military service, relationships, or childhood experiences) and haven’t had space to process it
- Are a woman balancing caregiving, relationships, or career while feeling emotionally exhausted
- Are a veteran adjusting to civilian life and searching for meaning, stability, or connection

Therapy with me is comfortable, collaborative and tailored to your needs. I believe you’re the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore what healing looks like for you. I bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective, which means we’ll honor the ways you’ve coped while also building healthier patterns for the future. Sessions are flexible and focused on your goals—whether that’s processing the past, managing stress in the present, or creating a vision for what’s next. What matters most is that therapy fits you. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin—you just have to show up as you are.
